This page features a showreel from the ITV series The Test, featuring Paddy Gormley's teaching of creative writing skills.

Bev Hawes' dyslexia caused him to underperform at school. The Test helped him to overcome his problems and to achieve a long-standing ambition, which was to write about his passion: surfing.

Having been commissioned by a surfing magazine to review a video, Bev attended a special writing class by Paddy Gormley, as part of the programme, before beginning the work of drafting.
